I. FIRST FRUITS FOR FRUIT! (A queer Rosh Hashana
Celebration)
Ever noticed how sexy Rosh Hashana is? Think big
pregnant pumpkins, think pomegranates full of seeds,
think long phallic leeks and carrots. Not to mention
all that fruit and honey. You are invited to a queer
Rosh Hashana celebration second night. Dinner will be
a mix of the familiar and traditional with an urban
queer bent.
I will be hosting the event at my home, there will be
plenty of traditional festive foods, prayers and
discussions. All the food will be vegetarian and there
will be plenty for vegans. I would like to extend an
invitation to Kulanu folks.
I do need to know numbers in advance please RSVP by
Monday September 13th! I'm asking people to bring
$6.00 to help cover costs, and to bring drinks,
enthusiasm and curiosity. Non-Jewish partners are
of course, also welcome.
Please contact me if you have dietary or kashrut
concerns.
When? 2nd night Rosh Hashana...Thursday September
16th
Where? 79 West Lodge Ave (directions will be sent to
you when you confirm your attendance) RSVP
by phone or e-mail 416-533-3001, or
juxtapose@sympatico.ca
Feel free to forward this to any queer Jews who might
enjoy this
event.
